Shay Shape's Pink Wishes

I have met many extraordinary people since my diagnosis. One of them is Shay Sharpe. Like me, Shay was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age – 23 for me; 26 for Shay. Like most folks, we both believed breast cancer only struck middle-aged and older women. So Shay designed this great tee shirt I’m wearing to let the world know that women under 30 do get breast cancer. In fact, we are the fastest growing age group according to the American Cancer Society. 

We both know how special it is to receive a special surprise gift or to get something we have wished for. So, Shay began the non-profit  Shay Sharpe's Pink Wishes to grant wishes to women between the ages of 18 and 40 with stage 4 terminal breast cancer.
