27th Birthday

So happy to celebrate my 27th birthday. So grateful to be alive and still dancing. So fortunate to beat medical statistics that said I would not live long enough to celebrate more than 3 birthdays. So thankful for my great medical team for making this possible and for everyone who supported, encouraged, and prayed for me. 

Sadly, too many of us continue to die from metastatic breast cancer: 108 American women every day; over 40,000 every year. We desperately need better treatments to let us live more than 2-3 years and that don’t force young women like me to go into medically induced menopause.
