What's In Your Treatment Bag????
Going to chemo treatments was an all-day affair for me and I always brought a large bag filled with items to keep me entertained, comfy and warm.
Because I have incurable metastatic breast cancer, I must continue receiving targeted therapy drugs every three weeks via infusion. This treatment lasts about three hours and I bring a smaller bag with helpful items.
A treatment bag is a very thoughtful gift to give someone undergoing cancer treatment. I appreciated the ones I received very much. Here is what is in my bags:

- A heart pillow from a breast cancer survivor since you sleep through most of the treatment
- "I Grand Jete Over Cancer" zip-up from Corgasaur
- Princess Ariel scarf that is reiki treatment from my cousin Katie
- Love Your Melon hat from Dancers Care Foundation and Starbound National Talent Competition for when my head gets cold
- Mukluk slippers from Capezio Flagship Store in NYC. These are a dancers essential to warm but but is also a cancer patient essential to keep your feet warm
- A giant water bottle to stay hydryated
- My iPad to check and respond to Bald Ballerina emails and posts.
- My Kindle that my brother got for me so I didnt have to carry a bunch of books with me to treatments.
- iPod Shufffle from "Princess and the C" to listen to music while I sleep
- Coloring books!!!!! I love coloring and I would color to pass the time
- Crayons and Colored pencils for coloring
- Ugly Doll from Allie and my RepStage friends just to watch over me.
- Fonzie the Flamingo from Amber to bring a party and brightness to chemo
- Little Lighting McQueen and Mike from Amber's little boys Ethan and Alex.
- Eos lip balm chemotherapy makes your lips really chapped
- Hand Sanitzer to help kill germs
