Be Kind

My fellow @towsonuniversity Alumni @amyschumer recently said this about her recent Cushing diagnosis “This is a good example of the fact that we never know what is going on with someone. Everyone is struggling with something. Maybe we can all be a little kinder to each other and ourselves.”

This is the perfect quote for anyone going through a diagnosis of or living with a disease. Metastatic Breast Cancer is a perfect example. I have been living with this disease for almost 10years. I have been bald and sick looking but I have also had a full head of hair and healthy looking. No matter how I am looking day to day I wake up each day not knowing how I will feel. Mid day I could feel weak and nauseous and by the end of the day feeling fine again

You never know what anyone is going through. Before you criticize someone take a moment and think maybe they are going through something and need some kindness and support. Just ask don’t just assume everyone is ok. #metastaticbreastcancer #breastcancer#baldballerina #bekind #amyschumer
