Start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It’s the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I’m not sure how to feel. This is my 10th October since my metastatic breast cancer (MBC) diagnosis and things have changed, but slowly. There is still a lot of pink washing and organizations not sharing the truth about breast cancer.

Each year I hope for better treatments that make it possible for metastatic BC patients live more than a few years.

If you want to make a difference, donate to an organization where your generosity will fund the research needed to find a cure for this terminal disease. Any amount will bring us one step closer. Pennies added up can make a difference, like funding another hour of research. Covid-19 diverted funds away from cancer research so private funding is especially important this year. Donate, if you can, to organizations like
@thepinkagenda , @bcrfcureand @dancerscarefoundation
