Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day

Metastatic (stage 4) breast cancer is cancer that has spread to another part of the body. It is still breast cancer, but now there are tumors in other places like the lungs, liver, brain, or bones. I have metastatic breast cancer that has spread to my bones. Presently, there is no cure.

Today is PINK OUT Day, a movement started by metastatic breast cancer patients to raise awareness and to get ‪#‎Metastatic‬ ‪#‎Breast‬ ‪#‎Cancer‬ to trend online. This movement was created because metastatic breast cancer is often ignored at events that celebrate breast cancer survivors with pink ribbons, pink balloons, and other pink tchotchkes.

To help raise awareness of Metastatic Breast Cancer, please post TODAY on FB, Twitter, and Instagram using these hashtags: ‪#‎Metsmonday‬‪#‎BCKills‬ ‪#‎dontignorestageiv
