Getting a 2nd Opinion at Yale University

The past 2 days have been crazy- I went to Yale’s Smilow Cancer Hospital to see Dr Winer.

Due to my last scan results my oncologist and I weren’t sure of what my next treatment steps should be. My friend Cindy suggested I go get a 2nd opinion with Dr Winer at Yale. I got an email from him Tuesday evening saying he could see me Thursday morning. So my mom and I hopped in the car Wednesday and made the trip to see him.

Im so glad I did. He gave us clarity and options for the next step. My oncologist and he are going to talk and make a decision on what to do.
