International Women's Day 2022

Today is International Women’s Day. I first learned about this day when I was a young teenager visiting Ukraine. My older sister was dancing in Donetsk and my mom and I would visit her twice a year. It was so exciting to experience a new country, culture and enjoy its beauty. The Ukrainian people were very welcoming and kind.

The past couple of days and weeks my heart has been with the Ukrainians. They are fighting to keep their homes, land and most of all freedom. Ukraine is a beautiful country and I hate seeing what is happening. They do not deserve any of this

So today I am celebrating all Ukrainians who are fighting, fleeing and do anything they can do to survive. Please say a prayer for them.
