Wear a Mask to Help Cancer Patients Stay Healthy

Yesterday was a scan day. Usually my mom drives me and waits for me during my scan. Yesterday was a very different scan day. Due to Covid, my mom wasn’t allowed to come with me to my scan. This increased my anxiety because I was alone. Scans are very stressful to begin with; being alone makes it even more stressful. Support systems are very important to a cancer patient; doing without it makes every cancer patient feel very lonely and sad.

This will only end when we get Covid under control. Please wear a mask and help prevent the spread. It’s not a political statement; it’s to help keep our families , friends, neighbors, and everyone else safe.
