Hysterectomy

My COVID-19 test is negative and I have been cleared for surgery this Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. I am getting a complete hysterectomy and oophorectomy. My breast cancer is hormone driven and my last 2 PET-CT scans showed ovarian cysts that are growing. Knowing the treatment challenges that women with ovarian or cervical cancer face helped me decide to do this sooner rather than later. I hope that this surgery will help me to live longer.

Please pray for a good outcome and a quick recovery. #baldballerina #breastcancer #metastaticbreastcancer #cancer #hysterectomy

Update:

Nice to be home with @mommamia_mommamia She knows I’m not a 100% and she is being the best little caregiver anyone could ask for. I am still very sore and have to be very careful. Thank you so much for all of your messages, comments, and prayers. Having a support system with all of you included is making my recovery easier. #baldballerina #metastaticbreastcancer #breastcancer #hysterectomy #hysterectomyrecovery #pomeranian #mommamia
