Cancer Doesn't Discriminate

For the past three years.Brittney Beadle and I have been the youngest metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients in the @anaonointimates @projectcancerland NYFW runway show. Brittany was 18 when diagnosed with MBC; I was 23.

MBC is no longer a disease that affects only middle-aged and older women. According to the American Cancer Society, new cases of metastatic breast cancer have been steadily increasing among women between the ages of 25 and 39. What is especially frightening is that young women with metastatic breast cancer have lower survival rates than older women because our cancers are particularly aggressive. We desperately need better treatments to help us live longer and treatments that don’t require us to be put into menopause medically or surgically for the cancer drugs to work.

Please consider making a donation to @metavivor – the only organization where 100% of your donation goes directly to MBC research. From now until February 22, 2019, the Freaks Action Network from NYC and the The Linda Sousa A Better Dream Foundation, will match your donation dollar for dollar, up to $21,000. Please donate if you can. Here is the link: https://www.metavivor.org/take-action/donate/
